September 12, KIM Industrial Park, Indonesia. Sany Group's Indonesian "Lighthouse Factory" has been newly launched - the second phase of the Sany Indonesia Industrial Park project was officially laid.

Why Indonesia? Where is the strength and charm of "Hunan Intelligent Manufacturing"?

Sany Indonesia's "Lighthouse Factory" is the first "smart factory" deployed by Sany Group overseas. The first phase started construction in March 2020, with a total investment of 200 million yuan, mainly producing 13-55 ton excavators for the Southeast Asian market, with an annual production capacity of 3,000 units.

According to the person in charge of the company, the reason for choosing Indonesia is the "best choice" of the company after careful consideration.

First of all, Indonesia has full economic development potential, the fourth most populous population, rich mineral resources, and a large demand for construction machinery and equipment;

Secondly, Indonesia, as the center of ASEAN, will build a "lighthouse factory" here, which can cover the entire ASEAN, Australia, New Zealand and other regions with this as the center, better promote the globalization strategy of Sany Group, and contribute to the high-quality construction of the "Belt and Road".

In addition, the construction of the "Lighthouse Factory" will bring advanced manufacturing technology to Indonesia, accelerate the cultivation of local talents, and improve the level of the industrial chain, innovation chain and value chain.

On August 15, 2022, the first "Made in Indonesia" excavator rolled off the assembly line from the "Lighthouse Factory", achieving "Sany speed" within 30 days from equipment installation and commissioning to product launch.

According to the person in charge, this factory integrates the core achievements of Sany in many "lighthouse factories" in China, and is built in accordance with Industry 4.0 standards. Compared with other overseas bases, Sany's Indonesia "Lighthouse Factory" is led by Sany's domestic team from design and planning, to plant construction and equipment commissioning, to overall operation and management.

The first phase of the factory has about 200 sets of various types of intelligent equipment, only about 100 workers, and has achieved an annual output value of more than 2 billion yuan, with a per capita annual output value of about 20 million yuan.

Thanks to the preemptive layout of the "Lighthouse Factory", Sany has rapidly developed into the largest construction machinery enterprise in Indonesia. So far, Sany products have sold more than 20 billion yuan in Indonesia, with more than 24,000 units of equipment, participated in the construction of almost all major projects in Indonesia, and created more than 2,000 jobs for the local people.

The first phase is progressing smoothly, and the investment in the second phase is naturally more confident.

The second phase of the Sany Indonesia Industrial Park, with a total investment of 150 million US dollars and an area of 105 acres, mainly produces excavators, wide-body vehicles and other equipment, with an output value of 5 billion yuan and more than 2,000 new jobs.

Compared with the first phase, the second phase of Sany Indonesia Industrial Park is not only larger, but also more "smart", which is mainly reflected in these aspects -

Through the automated material distribution system and relying on digital production management, the automatic calling of production orders and the distribution of unmanned trolleys are realized.

Through the digital twin system, a digital factory is established in the cloud, data is collected in real time, and data interconnection is carried out with the Sany Global Production Control Center and the "Root Cloud" platform of Tree Root Internet to match the strongest computing power for each process, each model, and even each tool.

Through the process simulation system, the production process is simulated, the process route is confirmed and the production is guided, so as to realize the overseas systematic output of intelligent manufacturing in the construction machinery industry.

Through the intelligent manufacturing operation management system, more than 10 digital systems such as product life cycle management, product supply specifications, and supply chain management are integrated, and combined with automated production equipment, the intelligent level of production is improved.

Sany said that it will apply the experience of "intelligent empowerment of ten thousand enterprises" in China to the second phase of the Sany Indonesia Industrial Park, build the first Indonesian "smart factory", create an international business platform rooted in Indonesia, facing Southeast Asia and radiating the world, and create a benchmark for Chinese enterprises to "go global" and a model for win-win cooperation between China and Indonesia.
