As of June 2023, China has signed more than 200 Belt and Road cooperation documents with 152 countries and 32 international organizations, extending from Eurasia to all regions of the world.

The Belt and Road Initiative has brought development opportunities to the countries and provided a broad stage for Sany's development. Since 2012, Sany has taken advantage of the "Belt and Road" initiative, in accordance with the strategy of "focusing on me, local operation and service first", accelerating "going out" and entering the most rapid period of globalization.

At present, Sany's business covers 121 countries under the Belt and Road Initiative. In 2022, Sany's overseas sales will exceed 40 billion yuan, of which the overall sales in the "Belt and Road" countries will exceed 20 billion yuan, accounting for 52% of the group's overall overseas sales (including Promai).

In the past 10 years, the China-Laos Railway has changed Laos from a "land-locked country" to a "land-linked country", the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway has brought Indonesia into the era of high-speed rail, the Padma Bridge has made Bangladesh realize the thousand-year-old dream of crossing the river, Africa has the first cross-border electrified railway, the Jakarta-Djibouti Railway, the Algerian East-West Highway stretches for thousands of miles, changing the "broken road" to the "road to get rich", and the "happiness train" is galloping on the Mombasa-Nairobi railway.....

In these landmark projects of the "Belt and Road", Sany Equipment is everywhere, with extremely high quality, to create a business card of China's equipment manufacturing, and to help build the dream of national prosperity and development.

At the peak of the construction of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway, Sany had more than 500 large-scale equipment participating in the construction, including more than 150 excavators, more than 60 rotary drills, more than 50 cranes and more than 150 unitsMixer trucks, more than 20 sets of mixing plants and more than 30 pump truck trailers, etc., responsible for the whole line of earthwork and tunnel operations, concrete transportation and pumping, cast-in-place piles and hoisting construction, with a share of more than 80%.

In Africa, 193 Sany equipment fully participated in the 1,216-kilometer-long Algerian East-West Highway connecting the three countries, including 56 road rollers, 32 motor graders, 5 pavers and more than 10 products. The project is located in a heavy hilly area, with vertical and horizontal ravines, steep terrain and complex geology, most of which are marls known as "geological minefields".

In the process of deepening the "Belt and Road", Sany has brought technology to the local area and created local employment opportunities, including more than 2,000 jobs in Indonesia and more than 5,000 jobs in Africa, which has truly reached the hearts of the people of the "Belt and Road" countries.

The first overseas "lighthouse factory"

Leading China's intelligent manufacturing to go global

While products and services are going global, helping infrastructure to be "hard connected", China's intelligent manufacturing is also going global.

On August 15, 2022, the first SY215CKD excavator produced by Sany Indonesia's "Lighthouse Factory" rolled off the assembly line, opening a new chapter in Sany's overseas intelligent manufacturing. On September 12, 2023, the foundation stone of the second phase of the project with a total investment of 150 million US dollars was laid.

Sany Indonesia "Lighthouse Factory" is the first "Lighthouse Factory" of Sany overseas layout, and it is also the first overseas "Lighthouse Factory" in China's construction machinery industry.

The factory combines the core achievements of Sany in more than 40 "lighthouse factories" in China, with more than 500 robots of various types, but only more than 100 workers, nearly 10,000 square meters of production area, a high degree of man-machine collaboration, logistics debugging and other main processes to achieve full network connection and unmanned production, which is the benchmark to drive China's intelligent manufacturing technology and standards to go out.

In addition, more Sany overseas "lighthouse factories" are being started to promote and replicate domestic intelligent manufacturing standards to the world, and continue to contribute more to the high-quality construction of the "Belt and Road".
