At present, the construction machinery sales area market began to spread from south to north (especially in the northwest), and it is expected that the sales of excavators in March will increase by 60%-80% year-on-year, and the sales volume may reach about 25,000 units. In addition, in the first two months, some major manufacturers of lifting machinery,Rotary drilling rigs, concrete machinery sales doubled.

Since production could not keep up with sales, the mechanical engineering industry even changed from "destocking" to "replenishing inventory". Shen Jianguang, an economist at Mizuho Asia Securities, believes that as an important barometer of the activity of the project, the supply and demand of excavators reflect the warming trend of infrastructure investment, and its positive improvement shows that the economic recovery is stronger than expected.

The current demand of the industry comes from the demand for renewal, construction and the escalation of pollution emission requirements. At present, 8-10 years ago the construction machinery has entered the update cycle, at the same time, the local government to strengthen the supervision of mobile pollution sources, at present, the "national zero" and "national one" stage of the excavator ownership of about 300,000 units, is the main update object.

The high growth in the first half of 2017 will continue, and the annual growth may show a trend of high before and then low. Due to the implementation of the "National III" standard in early April 2016, manufacturers rushed to sell and customers purchased "National II" products, resulting in a peak in the first quarter, a trough in the second quarter, a market start in the third quarter, and an outbreak in the fourth quarter last year. In contrast, the growth in 2017 may be high and low, and it is not a luxury to achieve 7-80,000 excavator sales throughout the year.

The capacity utilization rate of the industry is high, and the production of manufacturing enterprises is in a state of overtime. Now companies are working overtime, but they still can't meet the needs. This year, many enterprises started production on the third day of the new year, and basically went to work on the fifth day of the new year, but there was still a situation of out of stock. At the same time, the adjustment of construction machinery production capacity is relatively simple, and the upper and lower production capacity is relatively easy.

Excavators are favored, manufacturers are benefited. From January to February this year, Sany Heavy Industry, which sold 5,656 excavators, sold 4,631 units, a year-on-year increase of 240%. This new situation has led to a variety of landscapes that the company has not seen for several years. As the number of orders skyrocketed, the whole company was busy. With the arrival of orders after the Spring Festival, the workers of Sany Heavy Industry need to work overtime to catch up with the schedule. The production intensity of excavators has not kept up with the speed of sales. There are even customers who come directly to the workshop of Sany Heavy Industry to see the equipment urging order.

In the past five years, salesmen who often need to sell machinery and equipment everywhere have begun to have the opportunity to "enjoy Qingfu", and have received orders that automatically come to the door.

In addition, in terms of inventory, at present, not to mention the inventory of new phones, the inventory of second-hand phones is basically gone.

The supply of key components is tight, and the capacity of OEMs is insufficient

The main contradiction in the out-of-stock of some OEMs lies in the supply bottleneck of accessories, especially key accessories. Now the main contradiction is that the accessories are especially the key accessories, and if the accessories are sufficient, the output can be increased. At present, the supply of key accessories, especially hydraulic parts, is the bottleneck of the current sales volume.

Parts manufacturers stock up in advance, and the shortage of parts should not become an obstacle to a record high sales in March. At the end of last year, some large manufacturers began to increase the ordering of accessories, and at the same time, spare parts manufacturers have expected the sales peak in March and have prepared in advance. As a result, sales of around 25,000 units in March can be completed, and sales may increase if the supply of kits improves even more.
