Tang Xiuguo participated in the "China-Arab Investment Forum" President Macri: Welcome Sany to build a factory

On May 16, 2017, during the Belt and Road International Summit, the "China-Argentina Trade and Investment Forum" and exchange luncheon were held at the Argentine Embassy in China. The forum attracted nearly 900 entrepreneurs from both China and Argentina. On the same day, Macri delivered a speech, in which he made an important speech on the fruitful cooperation between China and the Arab States since the establishment of diplomatic relations, as well as the in-depth promotion of bilateral trade cooperation under the framework of the "Belt and Road". He said that Argentina has a huge demand for the construction of infrastructure, such as housing, roads, ports, bridges, airports, etc., and in recent years, Chinese companies have accumulated rich experience in this field, which can help Argentina improve the level of infrastructure, and he welcomed Chinese enterprises to help Argentina achieve infrastructure connectivity.

At the infrastructure sub-forum held on the same day, Argentine Minister of Transport Dietrich introduced the current situation and cooperation opportunities of Argentine infrastructure to the participating entrepreneurs. Dietrich said that infrastructure construction is an important part of China's Belt and Road Initiative, which will bring more opportunities for Arab and Chinese companies.

At the subsequent exchange luncheon, Tang Xiuguo had further in-depth exchanges with President Macri. Tang Xiuguo reported to Macri on the achievements made by Sany in many fields in recent years, and expressed his willingness to carry out in-depth cooperation with the Arab side in energy, ports, especially housing industrialization and other fields. Macri warmly invited Sany to invest in Argentina and participate in the country's economic construction. He said that in addition to the huge demand for housing in Argentina, infrastructure projects such as highways, ports, bridges, and railways also need to be expanded and upgraded. Sany has a complete set of basic equipment* technology, which can help Argentina improve the level of infrastructure and help the implementation of infrastructure projects.

In recent years, under the leadership of President Macri, Argentina has gradually moved away from inflation, and improving its weak infrastructure has become the government's current priority. In September 2016, the Argentine government announced that it would invest US$33 billion in infrastructure over the next four years for new roads, expansion of the railway network, modernization of terminals, construction of airports, construction of urban passenger railways, etc., which also created a large number of order opportunities for Chinese companies.
