Recently, Sany Renewable Energy officially announced the establishment of a European Research Institute in Pamplona, Navarra Province, Spain, which marks a solid step on the road of integrating global R&D resources for Sany Renewable Energy, which has completed its strategic transformation.

At present, with the continuous improvement of technical strength and the promotion of favorable policies such as the national "Belt and Road" initiative, many domestic wind power enterprises have accelerated the pace of "going global" and sought to use the superior resources of various countries to optimize their business layout. The establishment of R&D institutions abroad is one of the core measures, which can not only make full use of the scientific research resources of each country, but also provide strong support for overseas business.
Sany Renewable Energy has been actively exploring the international market for a long time, but the focus is still on unit sales, and the R&D layout is relatively weak. In 2016, Sany Renewable Energy began to seek strategic transformation, adjusting from the original whole industry chain strategy to focusing on the development of system integration and control strategies, and the operation and management mode of smart wind farms. Through international cooperative development, the introduction of scientific research resources of the world's *5660 companies, and the collection of the world's most cost-effective and excellent components, we will create wind turbines with relative competitive advantages. This requires that the establishment of overseas R&D institutions be accelerated.
At the same time, the talent flow caused by a series of mergers and acquisitions in the European wind power market provides an opportunity for Sany Renewable Energy to achieve these goals. "Europe has a mature wind power market and advanced technology, we decided to seize this rare opportunity, introduce a group of outstanding talents, and establish a European R&D team." Zhou Fugui, director of Sany Group and chairman of Sany Renewable Energy, introduced.
He emphasized that the reason why he chose to settle in Navarra, Spain, is only one of the reasons, and the deeper reason is that the region has a deep historical accumulation in wind power technology research and development. The province of Navarra is a well-known industrial development area in Spain, with a mature and complete wind power industry chain, and has settled in a number of world-renowned wind power companies. In addition, the local government provides policy support such as tax reductions for R&D institutions. The city government of Pamplona is very supportive of Sany Renewable Energy's decision to set up a research institute and has said that it will provide *5655 assistance.
It is reported that the institute will focus on the following tasks: "benchmarking" European new technology concepts, analyzing the direction of improvement, realizing technology introduction and product upgrading; Assess the development risks of new products and conduct technical reviews; Partnerships with European institutions.
At present, Sany Renewable Energy has signed a number of cooperation framework agreements with the Spanish National Center for Renewable Energy (CENER) in Pamplona, and will work closely together in product trials and other aspects.
In terms of organizational structure and staffing, under the leadership of the person in charge of the center, the European Research Institute will be guided by the technical director to guide the daily work of the four working groups, including the control group, the whole unit, the blade group and the load group. The institute plans to introduce 8-12 industry show users. At present, some positions such as high-level control engineers have arrived at the post, and there will be a number of users in the future.
Zhou Fugui is full of expectations for the establishment of the European Research Institute, "This is a new 'bridgehead' we have established in Europe, which will play a vital role in improving the company's R&D strength and expanding the global influence of Sany Renewable Energy." In the future, we will rely on this institution, introduce mature models and high-reliability parts from well-known European design companies, and cooperate with European *5660 companies to develop complete machines, blades and control systems, etc., and cooperate with Sany's strong equipment manufacturing capabilities to achieve leapfrog breakthroughs. ”
