Hunan Daily, May 10 (Reporter Tang Aiping) This afternoon, Changsha Sany Industrial City was very lively. Dai Da'an, Zhou Xin'an and Peng Yanshou returned to Changsha and were warmly welcomed by the company's leaders and employees.
On March 11 this year, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck Japan, and the ensuing nuclear leakage crisis shocked the world. On March 19, after learning about TEPCO's proposed purchase request, Sany Heavy Industry said it was willing to donate a 62-meter unit worth $1 millionPump trucksRush to Japan's aid. Dai Da'an, Zhou Xin'an and Peng Yanshou were selected to go to Japan to carry out pump truck operation training and other related work for Japanese personnel.
On March 20, the 62-meter pump truck departed from Changsha Sany Industrial City and arrived at the terminal of Shanghai Port International Passenger Terminal, and was carried by COSCO Group's "Suzhou" to Osaka Port in Japan. Peng Yanshou, Zhou Xin'an and Dai Da'an also immediately set off from Shanghai, Changsha and Vietnam at the fastest speed, and arrived in Tokyo, Japan on the 21st and 22nd respectively. The "special service team" of Sany Heavy Industry Japan Rescue was immediately established.
After high-intensity training and repeated operation inspections, the three Japanese operators were basically able to operate the pump truck smoothly after two days. At 12:45 on March 27, after about eight days of preliminary work, the 62-meter pump truck finally arrived at the command center of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant. At 12 o'clock on March 31, a 62-meter pump truck officially injected water to cool Unit 1 of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant, and after 5,656 water injections, the temperature of the reactor dropped significantly.
Although Dai Da'an, Zhou Xin'an, and Peng Yanshou did not need to go to the Fukushima nuclear power plant site to participate in the water injection operation, they still did everything possible to reduce the harm of nuclear radiation to Japanese operators. With the resources of Sany Heavy Industry and the deep foundation of intelligent technology, engineers urgently developed long-range wireless remote control technology, and finally realized the unmanned operation of the pump truck from 2 kilometers away. It is understood that at present, Sany's technology is "unique in the world".
In the whole water injection operation, the performance of Sany pump truck is quite outstanding and plays an irreplaceable role. The front-line person in charge of Tokyo Electric Power Company highly praised the outstanding performance of the Sany pump truck, and some Japanese personnel even affectionately called the Sany pump truck "big giraffe". Sany thus became a Chinese business card. Lu Kejian, Minister Counsellor of Economic and Commercial Affairs (Commercial Counselor) of the Chinese Embassy in Japan, highly praised Sany's dedication and contribution to Japan-China friendship and world peace, and also highly praised the fearless spirit of Sany's engineers.
