According to the annual Yellow Table ranking released by the international authoritative media International Construction, Sany Heavy Industry ranks sixth in the global construction machinery industry with a scale of 7.861 billion US dollars, and is ranked 5,656 Chinese enterprises on the list.
Yellow Table is one of the international authoritative rankings in the industry, and Caterpillar of the United States and Komatsu of Japan have been among the top two in the industry for many years. The rise of Chinese companies has been a highlight of the list in recent years. In line with the rapid development of Sany Heavy Industry, the proportion of sales of China's construction machinery manufacturers in the world's top 50 is on a continuous upward trend. When the list was first published in 2003, Chinese manufacturers accounted for only 1.6 percent of the world's top 50 sales, or US$841 million, and now account for 16.9 percent, or US$30.6 billion. In the past 10 years, the share of Chinese companies in sales has increased by at least 10 times.
The ranking also shows that in 2011, the sales of the world's *565,550 construction machinery manufacturers increased by 25% to $182 billion, surpassing the $168 billion before the global financial crisis in 2008 and becoming the industry's *5,661 record.
