Last night, reporters from more than 10 media outlets at home and abroad crowded into a small interview room in the press center of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, staring intently at Liang Wengen, chairman of Sany Heavy Industry, behind the interview table.
It was a lively interview. This "Uncle Gen" in the business world is full of red light and straightforward.
I wanted to join the party for a long time, because the Communist Party of China has ideals and seeks progress, and going out is more respectable. I want to grow up with the Communist Party of China. Unfortunately, my grades were not good in college, and I quit my job after 2 years and became self-employed. For a long time, private enterprises were not allowed to join the party. So, I dragged on for 18 years to join the party. Many media rumors that I was being investigated by the organization and that I was going to enter politics, but this was all chasing after the wind. Indeed, I am often subject to organizational inspections, because I have been a deputy to the National People's Congress for three times and a representative of the Party for two terms. But I can't give up business and go into politics. After I graduated, I worked as a director in a factory for a year, and I couldn't even speak. I'll be retired in 10 years.
At the last party congress, an American reporter said, "You will immigrate to the United States one day." I said that anything in the world may happen, but this is the only thing that doesn't happen. I gave birth 1,000 times, and I hope it will be in China; 1,000 deaths, it will be in China.
