Xinhuanet, Yakarey, Brazil, September 28: The groundbreaking ceremony for the new site of the Brazilian branch of China Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. was held in Yakarei, São Paulo State on the 28th, and more than 200 representatives from all walks of life in China and Brazil attended.
The new site covers an area of about 30,000 square meters and is expected to start construction by the end of the year, with a construction period of 10 to 12 months. The first phase of the project will cost about 50 million reais (about 12.5 million US dollars).
Yuan Jinhua, director of Sany Group, said in his speech that Sany Group entered the Brazilian market in 2007 in the form of complete machine trade. Despite the current difficulties in the Brazilian economy, we believe that there are still huge market opportunities in Brazil and that there are great prospects for development. "I hope that in 5 years, Trinity Brazil will be realizedcrane, excavators and other major products of local manufacturing, become a brand in the Brazilian construction machinery industry, and drive local employment and economic development."
Cheng Baoxiang, deputy consul general of the People's Republic of China in São Paulo, said that at present, global economic growth is slowing down, and emerging economies are facing new development challenges. As one of the leading enterprises in the global equipment manufacturing industry, Sany Group is still working hard to open up the market, and the close economic and trade relations between Chinese and Pakistani enterprises will be further consolidated and deepened.
Hamilton Motta, Mayor of Yakarei, said that Sany Group is the second Chinese company welcomed by Yakarei. Although the Brazilian economy is experiencing a temporary downturn, it is believed that it will be able to overcome the difficult situation. The Yakarei Municipal Government will do its best to provide necessary assistance to Chinese companies.
After the ceremony*, representatives from China and Pakistan held a groundbreaking ceremony and buried a box containing Olympic commemorative coins, an anthology of the day's magazines and newspapers, and a model excavator in the ground for permanent memorial.
