In 2021, Sany's R&D investment reached a new high, R&D methods continued to be optimized, R&D achievements were greatly improved, and intelligent manufacturing was fruitful: 818 scientific research projects were completed throughout the year, an increase of 132% year-on-year, 3,947 patent applications were filed, an increase of 42% year-on-year, 25 lighthouse factories were built, production capacity increased by 59%, and the number of R&D personnel reached 11,349.

At the same time, Sany has achieved remarkable R&D results in the strategic direction of "digital intelligence, electrification, and internationalization". On the morning of the 27th, the first summit forum of the Sany Science and Technology Festival was successfully held.

Chen Qingtai, Chairman of the China Electric Vehicle 100 Association, Su Zimeng, President of China Construction Machinery Industry Association, Zhou Bowen, tenured professor of Tsinghua University, Xiao Chengwei, researcher of the 18th Research Institute of China Electric Power Science and Technology, and other experts and scholars attended the forum to discuss the development of the industry.

As the highlight of the Science and Technology Festival, at the commendation meeting on the same day, the company awarded 12 categories of awards such as "Science and Technology Progress Award" and "Technology Innovation Award" to outstanding R&D teams and individuals, and 56 scientific and technological achievements and teams, and 31 outstanding individuals were commended.
