As of 2021, Sany has invested more than 12 billion yuan to launch 46 intelligent manufacturing lighthouse factories and intelligent production line projects in industrial parks such as Changsha, Kunshan, and Chongqing, realizing the real-time interconnection of nearly 10,000 production equipment and more than 100,000 materials.

Factory 18 of Sanyi Sha Industrial Park is the first intelligent "lighthouse factory" in the construction machinery industry, where a pump can roll off the production line every 45 minutes, with an annual production capacity of nearly 10,000 units. Factory 18 is also the only manufacturing facility in the world that realizes the automated production of large and oversized parts, and is the first in the industry to pioneer key technologies such as unmanned blanking and unmanned pair welding. The factory has realized the integration of eight processes, from a steel plate cutting to a whole off-line, realizing automated production and manufacturing in the same length.

In September 2021, Sany Beijing Pile Rig Factory was awarded the World Economic Forum (WEF) "Lighthouse Factory" in the global manufacturing field, becoming the first certified "Lighthouse Factory" in the global heavy industry industry. In the face of the changing and increasingly complex needs of the multi-variety, small-batch construction machinery market, the pile crane factory uses advanced human-machine collaboration, automation, artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technologies to increase labor productivity by 85% and shorten the production cycle from 30 days to 7 days, a reduction of 77%.
